Look what we've GROWN!!! :)
And they are SOOO yummy!!!
We think we have a match! :)
What am I talking about you may ask?!?!
We think we found a church here in Athens!! YAY! We haven't been happy with the churches we've been visiting...not really feelin' in, not our age, and other things.
But today we visited Athens Church and really really really enjoyed it and felt great there! Athens Church is a satellite church of North Point where Andy Stanley preaches. So they show his sermon at Athens Church.
We are very excited about joining a small group and really getting connected here in Athens! :)

My AWESOME principal took me on my own tour today!

Now it's not set up at all but you get the gist of how BIG my classroom is! I CANNOT to get in there and make magic happen with decorating!

We are officially DINK's!!!!!!!!!!!(Double Income No Kids)
I got a JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am beyond excited and so blessed! God has answered all the prayers that have been prayed for me to get a teaching job!!

I had that one interview last week and it went great but they picked the other person. The principal was sooo nice and said he was going to refer me to two other principals in the county that were hiring. I was upset but knew something good was going to come from all of it. Well it did...that was Wednesday and by Friday I already had another interview lined up with one of the schools hiring!! She wanted to meet with me Tuesday(meaning today) and then I got another call on Sunday for an interview for Monday(yesterday). So I went to the interview yesterday and it was TOUGH...but still good. I was still really looking forward to todays interview because I had a better feeling about it and it's a brand new school. So I went to the interview today and she hired me on the SPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will be teaching at J. J. Harris Elementary in Clarke County! I will be teaching 5th grade!!! I couldn't be more excited!! Since this is the first year of the school being opened they gave the upcoming 5th graders a choice if they wanted to come to the new school or stay where they were. So we only have two 5th grade classes for this year. I will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies and the other teacher will be teaching Math and Science. So the kids will switch classes!!

I'm going Thursday to tour the school with the principal because the school is so NEW it's not even open yet! She thinks we will move into our classrooms by the end of the month! I'll post pictures from my tour!!:)

Thank you thank you thank you to EVERYONE who prayed for me and Eric through this journey of job searching. I know so many of you have really thought and prayed for us. God is totally in control! Don't we serve an AMAZING God?!?!?!?!
Fun weekend!!
We headed to PTC Friday and got to see some family for the evening! Saturday I went with my mom and sisters to my Aunts house! We have a quilting bee and we get together (or try to) once a month and work on a family heirloom quilt! It's really fun because we sit around a catch up and eat a yummy lunch!
Saturday evening we headed off to Lauren and Will's Stock the Bar Couple Shower! It was a fun night!
This is the cake that Lauren's Aunt made! It's totally edible! And it had lights!

The Bride and Groom!!! So excited about their wedding!

Mr. and Alex hanging out together!

Elyse, Lauren and myself!

My sweet and CUTE husband! :)

Married and Engaged couples!!! LOVE IT!
Sunday the Mr. and I helped my mom clean out a storage unit and then we all went swimming! It was a fun but long day!

BOOK NERD!
I love it! I'm reading all the time now! It's great to have the time to sit down with a great book! I never enjoyed reading until college...and even then I didn't really enjoy it that much...but now I LOVE it!
Here are a couple of my recent reads:
This book is so wonderfully written! And I just found out they are making a movie out of the book and it comes out on my birthday this year!! YAY!
14 year old girl is murdered and then she watches her family from heaven...not as sad as it sounds! It's a MUST read!

I'm pretty much OBSESSED with this book! It was a FAST read but soooo good! It's a love story...which I love to read. I had started reading it and found out my best friend Lauren had just read and she loved it just as much as I do! Nicholas Sparks is my new favorite writer!
I'm reading two books right now...The Shack and The Notebook. I've seen the movie(The Notebook) but the books ends different and there is a sequel The Wedding, which I'm going to read next! I'll update you about these books soon! :)

No Doubt it was a great weekend! :)

Mr. headed off Friday night for a lake weekend with his buddies! He was so excited to get together with his friends and I was excited about heading "home" for a fun filled weekend!

Friday night I took 2 of my sisters and 3 of their friends to the No Doubt concert! I was so excited, seeing that No Doubt was the first CD I ever bought back in 5th grade! Now my sister B has been obsessed with them for about 6 years! K had never been to a concert so it was her first and she had a blast! It was a great night for an outdoor concert!K's first concert! She had a blast!!

B with her friends and sweet K!

LAH and B! :) I took her to her first concert about 4 years ago! :)

No Doubt was AMAZING! One of the best concerts I've been to!

Saturday morning I headed to Elyse's house to visit with her and baby Audree! We had a great time catching up and I got plenty of time to hold that sweet baby! I even got to help feed her! She literally is the calmest baby I've ever been around! Totally from her parents! :)

Saturday evening was party time! I headed to Kenessaw to celebrate with one of my best friends and sorority sisters Courtney! She gets married in less than 2 weeks! We had a little lingerie party for her and then we headed to Cowboys...it's a country dance club. She had a blast! It was great to see her and spend some of her last moments single until the big day! :)

LAH and Court...she got some sexy stuff for Kyle! ;) Some of the girls and the BRIDE to be! :) With some of my sweet older sorority sisters!LOVE her! Can't wait for 06/20/09 :)

Sunday I went to church with my sweet MIL and heard an amazing sermon that I know our pastor wrote just for me! (Just kidding...but it really hit home!) It was all about having FAITH! And on that note I'll share my good news....

I GOT AN INTERVIEW FOR A TEACHING POSITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I am beyond blessed and excited!!! It's Wednesday at 10am...please pray! I was literally just praying on Friday on my way "home" that God would help me be more patient because I was about to give up on this whole job thing...it's so hard waiting and hearing nothing. And then Friday at like 2:30 I got THE call! I thanked God about a million times! I am so excited yet SOOOO nervous!

So the sermon on Sunday about having Faith really really hit home because I have been trusting in the Lord about this whole job thing but just when I was about to give up He showed me that he hadn't forgotten about me. And I realized I really need to work on my FAITH!

Sunday I met up with sweet Hannah for her bridesmaid fitting! She picked out two dresses and had all of her bridesmaids try them on and then she picked what looked best on everyone! I can't believe we are already doing stuff for her wedding...I'm so excited!! It's only like 8 months away! I love the fact that all my best friends are getting married but then again it makes me sad to think we are all getting old! :)

The Mr. had an awesome weekend too! We are both SO tired from our busy/fun weekends! Tonight we cooked dinner and went on a bike ride! It's been a while where we just sat down together for dinner alone! I love it! :)

Happy Monday! :)

I can explain...I can explain...
Busy life and job applying=no blogging.
But I'll make it worth if for this post! :)
Like I mentioned we headed down to the Keys for Memorial Day weekend! Originally it was only going to be the Mr., Mr. H and me. But then the rest of the family wanted to come so it ended up being a short family vacation! Fun fun! (No, really...I wasn't being sarcastic!)
Eric and I flew AirTran...first time together and it wasn't the best experience but we got there! Our flight was delayed which=my buying books and Eric buying drinks! haha! :) I got two really great books!
When we arrived to the house this is what we were welcomed with by my sweet MIL!
Sea creatures made with towels on our bed! :)
The view from the house!!! BEAUTIFUL!

The Mr and I...about to go dive together for the FIRST time! :)
Eric and I got to dive together! It was amazing! Having my own buddy was great! (In diving you must dive with a buddy and usually you have just one buddy but I had to share buddies since Eric couldn't make it down to dive with me until now!) We saw lobsters, sea turtles, dolphins, puffer fish and SO much more! We are having problems with Erics camera...and it's an underwater camera so when we get it fixed I'll upload those pics!!

We got a "Florida Shower" and then God graced us with a DOUBLE rainbow!!! It was amazing!!! It was a great reminder that God made all of this for us!

It was HUGE! Biggest rainbow any of us had ever seen!

Mr. H's pride and joy! "Plane to Sea" Many good times have already been on this boat and many more! :)

The Mr. and Mr. H on the boat!!

Hanging out in the hot tub with the rainbow!

Eric and I had a busy weekend last weekend! We headed home for many great occasions!

First Friday night Eric dropped me off for Lauren's lingerie shower! What fun! She got some very cute and sexy stuff for Will! Eric went and hung out with Will and some other guys!

With the Bride to Be! :) Not too much longer until she is Mrs. Georgia!

The really cute cake!

Some of the beautiful girls that were at the shower celebrating with Lauren!

Then on Saturday Eric and I headed to Hogansville to visit with my biological father's mother...my Granny! I had not seen her in about 12 years! It was SOO wonderful to catch up with her! She is such a positive and uplifting person!!

She made us a DELICIOUS lunch! We had a wonderful time visiting and catching up with her!

And she enjoyed meeting the Mr!

The rest of the weekend was filled with seeing family and friends! :) We love going "home" to see all of our family and friends! With all of the events we have coming up this summer I'm sure we will see them alot more often! (Which I like!)

This week has been filled with lots of job applications and prayer. I had previously applied to 5 counties...in the past day I've applied to 5 more. Expanding the distance of travel for a job. I'm hoping that something will come from all of this. I am learning to be patient and rely on God...but it's really hard sometimes.

But in good news...Eric and I reunited with a sweet high school friend! She is married now and lives in Athens! We have enjoyed dinners and game nights with the couple! :) And tonight we are having them over for dinner! I made Paula Deens chocolate pound cake! I'll let you know how it taste! :)
