Hello week, goodbye to another amazing weekend!
Wow, I could really get used to having these amazing weekends! I hope they continue! We are so blessed with friends, family, house, church and of course Miss Lucy and soon to be Baby Ethel!!

Friday my BFF Mrs. C came to visit me! We had so much fun at dinner at of course Agua Linda and a little shopping afterwards! We ended the night watching The Blind Side!

Saturday we woke up early, ate cinnamon rolls of course! And then were out the door! More shopping to do, this time we had exact things we were looking for! Then lunch at another of our favorites...Moes!

Testing out some shots for a project I'm working on!

There she is! Mrs. C! We had so much fun together!!

So one of those exact things we were shopping was fabric to re-cover our dining room chairs! Big project! So here it goes...

Original fabric on chair. Before beginning the project!

Supplies I needed!

Up-close of the fabric!

Half way through...NEW and old!!!

Working hard, I did have an assistant...the Mr.!

Another up-close shot!

Project: COMPLETE!!!!

I'm pretty much obsessed!!!

Next project:re-finish table and chairs...since they are almost 100 years old!

Pretty excited how just a little bit of fabric can do to a room!!!

Today consisted of: church-great sermon!, lunch with friends, ZUMBA, buying my July 2010-June 2011 NEW calender, ironing, and getting ready for the upcoming week!

What was your weekend like?

I Know An Old Lady Who Swallowed a PIE!

We won!!!!

My class won the door decorating contest at our school for the Spring Book Fair!! The theme is Diner/Food books! So I found a really funny book based an old book. The old book is...There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly...and this new book is I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a PIE! My kids loved the book and then created this door from it! All I did was help hang the 3-D stuff and cut the letters on my Circut for them!

I am so proud of them! All of the things hanging are the things the old lady eats throughout the book!

Door open so you can tell that the stuff is 3-D!

Cover of the actual book!

Up-close of their AMAZING artwork!

I am one VERY proud teacher! And one very competitive teacher too!

edit:: I found out this morning that: I won $30 to the Book Fair!!

Dear Day,

You have come and are almost gone. Thank goodness. You have brought me tears and laughter. I've been thankful for you and mad at you. You have taught me lessons and you have made me frustrated.

Day, I'm just glad I get a new one tomorrow. No offence, but I'm ready for a new day.

Thank you,

Hello!

I come to you from my kitchen table, in my PINK Snuggie, drinking my Dukin Donuts coffee....WONDERFUL is an understatement!

This weekend has just been amazing...no big plans...and we love it! Friday started out with a wonderful day at school with my students, who I'm beginning to get really sad that we only have 43 days together. Can you believe it?!?!?! My first year is almost over and it's just been so wonderful! Then I came home and played with Miss Lucy...we had a photo shoot! She just loves her new yard! Then I read on the back porch...heaven! Then we were off to the lake...Miss Lucy's FAVORITE place! M and C met us there, they live so close they could just walk, so they enjoyed seeing Miss Lucy swim for the first time this season! Then we went home and just relaxed with some margs at home and caught up on our DVR! (DVR's are THE best invention ever!

So earlier this week I was trying to upload pictures to blog...because really blogging with no photos can be very boring! But for some reason the camera wouldn't upload pics...but we received our first housewarming gift from M and J! And we LOVE it! Look how personalized it is!!

So sweet, THANK YOU M and J!

Now for the photo shoot of Miss Lucy!

Isn't she just the prettiest dog ever?!?!?!

And the SWEETEST dog too?!?!?!

She just loves the camera!

So onto the rest of our weekend...I know your on the edge of your seats! haha!
Saturday morning, I got up early and picked up A and we headed to 5 of our students soccer games! It was such a pretty morning, with perfect temps for soccer! We decided that one day we will be perfect soccer or some other sport Moms! haha!

Aren't they handsome in their uniform?!?!

What what!! Two 5th grade teachers with our students! :) They didn't win, but it was still so fun to watch and then hear their reasons for not winning.

When I got home Mr had started some projects around the house, and I joined in! We are having so much starting to make our house a HOME! But before we went to Home Depot...which I have a new LOVE for, we stopped by to see our new baby ETHEL!!!!

We CANNOT wait to bring her home on the 2nd of APRIL!!!!! Only like 12 days!!!!

Look at her lovin' on her Daddy!!!

And of course her Mommy...she is going to be a Mommy's girl...especially since Miss Lucy is totally a DADDY's girl!!!

Look at her coloring...it's PERFECT!!!!

So, she is 6 weeks old today...can't believe it!!

And she is 2lb. 7 oz.!!!

I actually get to take the day off to get her, because I went to that conference over our Spring Break...I get 3 comp days!! So I'm taking one for the day we get to pick her up! I'm sooo excited!

So after we visited with little Ethel, we went to Home Depot! I know I know, that store used to be SO boring, and now I'm obsessed!!!! We bought a hanging plant...which I picked and is my plant to take care of...see Mr. is the one with the green thumb...but he is teaching me! And we bought a planter and a nice plant to go in it! We actually bought it that orange color they all come in and the Mr. painted it black to match our house. And we bought paint to paint a rocking chair and table we already had! And we had to buy a garden hose, for all of Mr.'s plants!

Here are the additions to our front porch!! We love it!

O, and we picked up a sample of a paint color for our master bedroom, we are seeing how we feel about it, but I'll share as soon as we decide! Then we ended our wonderful Saturday with to-go from Agua Linda, and a nice long walk with Miss Lucy!

So, as you can see, we've really enjoyed our weekend! Today, we are doing some things with church, ironing, and getting ready for a nice long week! I have three days of parent-teacher conferences! But we are looking forward to another nice weekend!

Good evening!

Sundays are such wonderful days!

Happy Pi Day too!! Get it...Pi=3.14 and today is March 14...3/14! I know, I know...I'm a dork! But we did go to a local pizza place that was selling their pizzas for $3.14...cute huh? And yummy!

So I'm back from sunny Florida...or should I say it was raining Florida while I was there! I went to a conference for school in Orlando. The company was great and the sessions were okay. We were able to get away in the evening to Downtown Disney! I was sad we weren't able to visit Sea World...I've never been and really wanted to go!

K and I had a wonderful time pretending we were Disney Princesses!

Lego Land! Girl made of Legos!

B, myself, and K! We had fun rooming together for the trip too!

So my Spring Break ends today, but I will get to use 3 days before the end of the year as comp days because of attending the conference! So I'm pretty excited about using those days to relax in the last 9 weeks of school! I know, I said 9...can you believe it??!?!?

So, I promised pictures from my sister, LK, birthday! O and she called me Saturday and got her LEARNERS!! I still cannot believe it! She is getting so old!

K, LK and myself! LOVE them!

Isn't he precious!?! We love our nephew!! He is SO fun!

Mr. and myself!

All but one sister...aren't my sisters GORGEOUS!?!?!?!?!!?

We had a wonderful day celebrating LK's birthday! Can't wait to do it again next year! Sweet 16!!!

So, when I got back in town last night my husband of course took me to my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant with some friends! It was so great to see him and our friends! We then just went back to our house to hang out, one of the couples just got a new pup and he is SOO cute! His name is Colt! Miss Lucy and Colt LOVE each other!!

So, tomorrow is Monday...but that is alright. I've missed my students and I'm ready to get back and finish up this amazing school year I've had!

How was your weekend?

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

Dear Ethel,

We are SO excited that you are the newest addition to our family! We cannot wait to bring you home and get to know you so well! We cannot wait to snuggle, play, walk, and feed you! Your big sister is so excited to meet you too! We talk about you alot to her and she looks around when I ask her, "Where is your baby sister Ethel?!?!?"

We are so lucky that our friends told us about the little place where you are coming from. We are so lucky that they have a Yorkie that is so darn cute! Because if we hadn't met Athena Jean...then we would have NEVER met YOU!

The first day we met you, you were only 7 days old and weighed 11oz. Look how little you were!:

(Ethel, 7 days, 11oz)

You fit nicely into just one of my hands! And boy, did you like to cuddle...you kept nuzzling your noise into my hand!

The first day we met you, we couldn't see your beautiful eyes, but we were looking forward to that day!

Then our second visit with you was when you were 14 days old and you weighed 22 oz. Getting bigger fast!!

(Ethel, 14 days, 22oz)

Now, you take up both of my hands!

Your eyes were still closed on this visit, but we talked to you ALOT!

Our sweet friends M and B came with us to visit you...they are SO excited for your arrival too! M is the mommy of Athena Jean...and we just know that you two will be BEST FRIENDS! B, wants a puppy really bad, so we are hoping she gets a dog so that yall can all play together!

I didn't want to put you down on our second visit! Your coat is SUPER soft and you are just so tiny still!

So, Ethel things got really busy for us, we moved, and I was in a wedding so we had to go 2 weeks without seeing you. It was hard for us because we knew you had grown so much! It was so exciting to see you at 4 weeks old! You are now 1lb and 13oz! BIG girl!! Your eyes were open, so you got to see us for the first time not just smell us!

(Ethel, 4 weeks, 1lb 13oz)

Look at those paws!!

You sure do like to snuggle!!! We can't wait to get you home to snuggle with us! Your big sister LOVES to snuggle!

We love your coloring! You are just PERFECT! (Just like your big sister Lucy!)

Miss Ethel, we CANNOT wait to bring you home Easter weekend!! Everyone is so excited about meeting you! You have lots of family and friends to meet!

We are so blessed to be adding to our family! Miss Lucy is excited about you coming! (Even though she may bark at you a few times when you first come home!)

We love you baby Ethel!

Daddy, Mommy and big sister Lucy!
