Too early for a Christmas Wish List?

Dear Santa,
Here are a few things I would like for you to drop off on Christmas Eve! :) Not, so much to ask...right?
1. These! I have never really been into the whole Ugg craze but I am OBSESSED with these!!!!!!! Never really even been obsessed with a pair of shoes...but I HAVE to have these! I tried them on and they are HEAVEN in a shoe! I could honestly sleep in them!!!

2. A gift card...I know kind of boring...but a gift card to ULTA is excellent since I wear Bare Essentials make up...and I need to update and replace some of my products!

3. To take THIS class! I took a cake decorating class here and LOVED it...but CUPCAKES are my favorite...so I want to take this class to perfect my cupcakes!

4. And all my student loans paid off. And my classroom to have all the supplies and materials needed to teach even better. And a new wardrobe. And a new car for the Mr.

A girl can wish right?!

Santa, I understand if all of these items are not delieved. No, really I do understand. But there are just some of the items I would love to have.

Love,

Homecoming 2009

Mr. and I headed to Carrollton on Saturday morning to attend Homecoming at our college!

We started out eating breakfast at one our favorite places with some of our close friends and then headed to Greek Village to watch the parade.

L, Mrs. LAH, and H all together...missing one of the FOUR.

M, M, and Mrs. LAH

Mrs. LAH and Mrs. Durden! SOOO great catching up with this great friend!

The letters on our beautiful sorority house! Man, I wish I could have actually lived in it...but it was just built this year.

The Hammarlunds!

Part of West Georgia's NEW stadium!

So, the Wolves weren't doing so good...we got bored!

A and Mr. hanging out at the game!

Half-time

And they actually did win!!

It was a great weekend! We are extremely tired today...but loved every second of being in our old college town!!

I did it!

I made it through my first ever Parent/Teacher Conferences!!

I had 27 of the 30 show!!!

It was a very long week! The kids left early on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 12:20 and then the rest of my day and evening was filled with conferences! The parents are so willing to help at home in anyway they can with their children. It's so refreshing to hear them ask for ways to help at home!

Now...I need to make it through Friday!

The Mr. and I have a full weekend! I'll share with pictures and stories on Sunday!

Happy Friday Yall! :)

How was your weekend?

Our weekend has been so great! :)

Lucy got a mini pumpkin from the Mr. this week! (She didn't really eat it.)

We did some Fall decorating this week! This is our front porch.

Our little Fall display...the Scarecrow people are me and the Mr.! :)

Our mantel even has some Fall touches to it.

Friday we headed to The Varsity at Gwinnett to have dinner with the FOUR and their boys! It was so great to see the girls and catch up. It was a quick visit because the Mr. and I didn't join them to go to Netherworld...a haunted house. We don't even do scary movies, so there was no way were going to pay to go through a haunted house.

Saturday we headed to Atlanta for the Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech game! It was such a fun day! We tailgated with a few friends and then headed to the game! We sat(or should I say stood) in the student section with the Mr's brother and mom!

Tailgating in the chilly weather! Still so fun!

Mother-in-love and me at the game!

BIL and MIL! GO JACKETS!!!
The Mr. and I at the game!
Final score!!! Such a great game!
We all rushed the field after the big win!
And the goal post came down! It was such a site to see!

Today has been filled with lesson planning, report cards, ironing and trying to get rid of this migraine.

This week is a very busy week, I have parent/teacher conferences for three days this week...the kids will leave at 12 for three of the days to allow for time to meet with parents. But I'm looking forward to sharing things with the parents of my students.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Hello Fall!

Thank you for coming and making my weekends so fun! :)

Miss Lucy loves to lay on me or the Mr. while we watch T.V.

Mr and I headed to PTC for the weekend and of course we headed to the Great Georgia AirShow! We go every year! It's a great event!

This year L and K were able to join us!

Look at the good lookin' couple! We joined the Hammarlunds at their hanger to watch the air show!

Sweet Mother-in-Love!

Mr. and I with the Hammarlunds plane

We also got to celebrate K's 16th birthday! I can really remember when she was born. Makes me feel really old.

K opening the present we got her...we gave her my promise ring (which was our great-great grandmother's wedding band). She was pretty surprised. :)

I made K's birthday treat...brownies with marshmallows and melted Milk-Duds!

Our nephew A loved K's Sweet 16 balloon! :)

Lucy got to spend the weekend with her cousin Coral!

Lucy helped me clean today! haha!

I had the day off today and I deep cleaned our home. It feels so nice to get the cleaning done that I haven't found time for until now.

I'm looking forward to a short week at school. I used the long weekend to get a lot of work done for school too.

Hope you had a great weekend and Columbus Day too! :)

Question:

Who out there sings and dances in the car?

No, really...don't be ashamed.

Am I the only one on the road at 5:45 that is totally jammin' out?

I just want to share that on my 8 minute ride to work every morning, I try to find the best songs to jam out to. Nothing, slow...I'll change the station if something slow comes on.

I think it's totally healthy to jam out in the car!

Who cares if someone is watching you! :)

I'm totally....

OBSESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(with what you ask?!?!?!)

Have you ever heard of it?!?!? Well I joined the YMCA about 2 months ago and love alot of the classes and the nice workout area...but what I love the MOST is ZUMBA! If you have never heard of it go here! It's is literally the best workout ever. I get SOO much out of it! It's like my old days of dance and cheer but totally Latin! My sweet co-worker A invited me to come with her one day and I totally got hooked!

If you are looking for a great workout that's SO much fun, then you should find the nearest place that offers Zumba! It's to Latin music but also new upbeat hip-hop/rap. I will tell you that I was horrible the first couple of classes but I'm getting better and better each class!

Watch this....these are experts!! (Alot like my teachers!) You don't have to watch the whole video but this gives you an idea of how fun my new obsession is!!!

I'm pretty much obsessed with two new things in my life: teaching and ZUMBA! :)

Happy Fall!
I just want to start this post off by saying that Fall is my new favorite season. I don't think I've appreciated it like I do now. I love the weather, activities, food, and overall feeling. I cannot wait to get a pumpkin!
Here are the pictures I promised:
(I'll have more exciting pictures soon because of our upcoming events!)
So, Athens didn't flood but we did get ALOT of rain! This is a picture at a nearby creek that we take Miss Lucy to swim.

Some of my students work...we were learning about similes and this is the project they did.

A happy day in 5th grade! (Have I mentioned that I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I do!)

Miss Lucy is still a daddy's girl but she only sleeps with her mommy now! :)

Here are some additions that the Mr. added to our kitchen. He found these treasures at a thrift store and painted them. They go great with our black and pink theme! :)

We live in "DAWG COUNTRY" so of course we have been participating in college football Saturdays! This weekend we had a bunch of friends come for breakfast before heading out to tailgating!
Mr. and Mrs. cheering on the DAWGS! (Just remember it won't be like that the day UGA plays AU!)
We have some exciting weekends to come! I have fall break this coming weekend and I am trilled to have two days off! :) K my sister turns 16 on FRIDAY! Can you believe it?!?! I can't!
Prayer request: Mr's Dad is in the hospital because of pneumonia. Please pray for a quick recovery!
We are still loving our church...our small group is wonderful! We look forward to going every week and getting to know these great people even better.
We miss our familes but are enjoying our life here. Have a great week!
