Christmas Tree!

Getting the Christmas tree is always so exciting to me!! It's the true beginning of the season for me! That and also the beginning of the Christmas music on the radio!

We found the perfect place last year to get our tree so we headed back to the same place this year!

The Hammarlunds!

I missed getting the picture of the Mr. with the tree over his right shoulder! But I did catch him putting it in the stand!

Our live garland! That I'm pretty much obsessed with!

Elf on A Shelf!

We have started Elf on the Shelf in my classroom!
My kids LOVE it! Yes, they are in 5th grade and don't really believe in Santa but they LOVE it!!!
If you haven't heard of this wonderful book please go here!

My class named our elf, Charlie! I thought that was a super cute name!
I'll keep you updated on what Charlie does in our classroom, and where he appears after returning from the North Pole each night!

Standards Based Christmas Tree!

Greetings from Mrs. H's classroom!
I decided I wanted to put up a tree this year in my classroom. My sweet mother-in-love found a perfect tree for my classroom! It's the PERFECT size! So, I brought it in today and set it up! (I know, it's a bit early, but these 2 days before break are torture for the kids, so I thought I would make it fun!)
Our tree is filled with the Georgia Performance Standards! I actually made a ribbon of all the standards that will be taught in December in our classroom! And all the homemade ornaments are standards based! The kids loved making the ornaments even though they are math problems and grammar on them! I used my lovely CRICUT to make the ornaments for them to write on!
