EK&O movin' on up!

When the girls started school in November they began in the room that is called "Walkers"! Olivia was officially walking but EK wasn't. We wanted them together of course so they started together in that room.

We fell in LOVE with their teachers! Three VERY sweet ladies that made the big transition to school so smooth! Every afternoon they would share funny stories of the girls and you can just tell how much they love and care for the girls!

At the beginning of January they started to mentioned that the girls would be moving up because they had passed all the "tests" for the next class. This started to make me panic! ha! But I knew it was what they needed. They had already learned so much in their current room.

Well, last week they started the transition to the next room..."Trainers"! I love how they do the transition at their school. Monday-Wednesday they went to the new room from 2-until I picked them up. And then Thursday and Friday they went to the new room from 9-3. Something super surprising happened...they said that Olivia took it so well...and was super independent! But EK wanted to be held and cried a lot. My MIL mentioned that that just shows who deals with change better. Livi is our soft soul girl and I thought it would have been super hard for her. Because EK is more independent at home I thought she would deal with the change okay.

Some of the big changes in their new room are: sleeping on mats!! They slept in cribs in their other room. They sit a tables!!! They sat in highchair in their other room. And they will drink from cups!! One big plus for their new room is they can have their blankies now for nap time! I feel as though they will sleep so much better in their new room because of that! And the whole room takes a nap at the same time! Both days that they had nap in the new room they both slept 1 hr 30min-1hr 45 min!

Today is their first official day all day in their new room!
I hope they learn so much more and enjoy their new teachers!!

Teacher Perks

The Mr. and I are really enjoying the fact that we have the same days off! We totally enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas of course! But it's so fun to have the other days off too!

Last Monday was MLK day. We enjoyed having the whole day together with our kiddos! And the weather was BEAUTIFUL!

We loaded everyone up and headed to the park!

The girls are getting too big to put them in the same swing! ha! :(

TJH loves his scooter so of course we took it to the park! The girls enjoyed running around watching all the big kids in the park!

Aunt Dall met us at the park for some fun too!

What a fun day off!!

Sickness and Happiness

Whew, last week was rough! The week started out with the Mr. getting the stomach bug Sunday night. Then I got it Monday  night. Thankfully this time is was a super fast one! I felt better by mid morning Tuesday. Then Tuesday afternoon the kids school called to tell us EK had a 102 fever. I went ahead and called their doc to get an appointment on Wednesday. They can't go back to school unless they have a doc note. When  the girls woke up on Wednesday the both had high fevers!!!

I stayed home with the girls on Wednesday and took them to the doc. They both had ear infections. One had the right ear and one had the left ear! Overall they both were in good spirits. We played a bit in the morning. I tried laying them down after we got home from the doc but the antibiotics messed them up. Sleep and lots of poop. :(

We thought the meds might kick the fever and make them feel better but they had SUPER high fevers at 3 am on Thursday morning. So I went ahead and called in for another day. I called their doc too because they had so much diarrhea from the meds. :( We started them on a probiotic to help with that. We had to make a run to the store for more meds. They were good little sports! :)

By Thursday afternoon they both still had fevers. I had missed 3 days of work and just couldn't miss anymore. We called GMama to come to the rescue. She came in late Thursday night so I could go back to work.

I took Livi back to the doc on Friday afternoon because she still had a pretty high fever. Their doc changed both of their meds. GMama went back home Friday evening. The kiddos were so excited to see their G!

Saturday morning was good. The girls woke up with just low-grade fevers! TJH had 2 birthday parties to attend so we party hopped and Daddy stayed at home with the girls.

Sunday we played at home! Daddy went to the library for a couple of hours to lesson plan.We played outside for awhile...it was beautiful!  And then we did the bon fire with K!

(Please excuse the wreath!)

We got all the sickness gone! Thank goodness! We are ready for a week of school and fun! We were glad to have some pretty weather to end our weekend!
