Father's Day 2012

We celebrated the Mr's first Father's Day at the beach...his favorite place!

TJH work up early and got changed into a special shirt for his Daddy! He then went and woke him up with lots of snuggles!

Then we headed to The Donut Hole! They make THE BEST donuts! The line was sooo long to get in so we just picked some up and headed back to the condo! 

Tucker made his daddy two special presents. He wore his Daddy's three favorite ties for the pictures. :)

The Mr is such a wonderful Daddy! Tucker and I are so very lucky to have him. He's so fun, talented, loving, animated, smart and such a wonderful leader in our home.

Week 19

Dear Tucker,

We spent this whole week at the beach with GMama and Grandpa and we had such a wonderful time! You loved the beach, pool and playing in the condo!

You had a big week! Another 5 hour car ride!

You rolled over for the first time!:)

You loved playing with GMama in the car!

We loved playing in the kiddie pool with you all week! We met some nice families with cute babies!

You did good with nursing and napping at the pool! 

You did great with going out to dinner with us. 

We still did tummy time in the mornings before heading down to the pool! 

You got to wear all your cute swimwear! 

You played hard so you slept hard!:)

You liked your sunglasses and we were glad because we want your pretty blue eyes to be protected!

You went with Mommy and Daddy to our favorite beach restaurant! The Red Bar!

You enjoyed strolling around Seaside!

You enjoyed going with us to P.F. Changs...GMama and Grandpa had never been there!

You were so happy! 

You hit a big milestone this week while at the beach too!:

Tucker, you made our vacation the best because you were there with us! You enjoyed the beach and all the attention you got from GMama and Grandpa!  We love you so much little boy!

 

Week 18

Dear Tucker John,

WOW, you're officially 4 months old! I cannot believe I met you just 4 months ago. I say this all the time but my life must have been so boring before because you fill my life with sunshine, laughter, love and the best snuggles ever!

You had your first popsicle! Of course it was just frozen breast milk! But nurse at our Bundles of Joy group said that it would be good since your teething!:) You loved it!

Drool and chewing on things is what you do a lot now!

We pulled out your Mamaroo again...you weren't a fan of it when you were little but now you enjoy sitting in it!:)

You offically turned 4 months old on Monday! And you weighed in at 15 lbs 7 oz! Big boy!

We had our first scare with you! Daddy was at class. We were playing and all of the sudden your hand started to swell and you got red splotches all over your face! I got pretty scared but I stayed calm. I called Daddy and he said to take you to the ER. So we went. I tried to get there as fast and safe as possible! 

It ended up that the Dr thinks you had an allergic reaction to some spray that Daddy sprayed on the doggies outside. But just having them around you in the house made you react. The doc said you were okay and just said to take some Benadryl. You were so brave the whole time and you talked to the nurses and the doc a lot!

I'm so glad you were okay, it's pretty scary to see your baby boy like that. 

The next day we headed to the beach for your first time! 

You were so wonderful in the car! You slept, ate and read books!

The car ride was 5 hours and when we got there you were so excited!

We got you all ready for the beach! You liked the sand but wasn't a fan of the water...it was pretty loud and cold! 

You did great through! J and T were so sweet to have us to their beach house! We enjoyed the trip! Mommy still needs to upload more pictures! 

We stayed for a quick visit and then headed back to PTC. You got to stay with your GMama and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went to the Jimmy Buffett concert! You had so much fun with them!

You even shopped for boats with Grandpa!

It was so fun to take you on your first time this week! You are such a wonderful little boy! We love you so much TJH!

R & T

The Mr. and his good friend J have been friends for years...they grew up in church together and did all kinds of fun things as kids, teenagers and now as adults. 

When it was time for J to get married he asked the Mr. to be one of his groomsmen and of course he said yes. Well, I was super excited about J getting married because I got a new friend out of it! J and J are such a wonderful couple and we love spending time with them!

A couple months later...almost two to be exact the Mr. and I got married. The Mr. wouldn't have had it any other way but to have J be one of his groomsmen!

So you now you understand our friendship a little better...we are great friends!

Fast forward to June 2011...the Mr. gives J a call to share our good news about being pregnant! We were driving through the mountains so half way through the phone call they got disconnected. J calls the Mr. back and shares that they are pregnant too! And it ends up that our due dates are a week apart! All four of us were so excited! HOW FUN!

Then we find out we both are having boys! YAY!

It gets even better! Our boys were born EXACTLY a week apart! How perfect is that!? :)

J and I talk all the time about the boys and what they are doing. We get advice from each other and share things that work for each of us. It's so fun to have someone who has a baby the same age. And of course we  send pictures and videos all the time. :)

Well since we are all so busy it took us a while to get together after having the boys but we finally were able to and boy was it fun!

We cannot wait to the memories to be made with our two boys! It's going to be so fun to watch them grow together and hopefully they will be close friends like their daddys!

I'm so blessed to have J as my friend too...she is truly a very sweet friend and mama! Like I told her the other day, I'm thankful that her and J got married because I got a wonderful friend out of! And now TJH has a buddy to grow up with! :)

Dinner with friends!

So my three best friends from college...you know...the FOUR! :) Well, we try to get together at least once a month. We would love to see each other daily like in college but that can't happen now that we've grown up and have real jobs, responsibilities, babies and all that other stuff that adults have to do. ha!

Last weekend we got together for dinner! I love seeing Tucker with my sweet friends!

I'm so thankful that we have such wonderful friends! Even when we don't get to see each other often, we always pick up right where we left off. I pray that Tucker will make friendships that last like the ones the Mr. and I have.
