Gingerbread House :)

We have officially started a new Christmas tradition! On Tuesday my Secret Snowflake at school gave me an amazing Trader Joes Gingerbread House kit! 

I got SO excited! I just knew Tucker would LOVE it! 

We made it as soon as I got home and TJH had a blast!!!

We let TJH try the icing first and he was hooked! ha! 

We will be doing this again next year for sure! 

I can't wait to find out who my Secret Snowflake is so I can share with them how much fun we all had!

 (O, and it was the MOST delicious gingerbread house ever!!)

Elf On The Shelf_Week 1

I teach at the best place and our principal lets us decorate for Christmas and do fun things like Elf On The Shelf! 

Well I teach 2nd grade and they just LOVE Elf On The Shelf! This year my class named him Gabe. Not really sure where that came from...maybe a TV show? Well Gabe came for the first time this past Monday. My kids LOVE coming in every morning and seeing where Gabe is for the day. 

I forgot to take a picture one day but here are the other four days this week!

Here goes 2012!

How was your New Years Eve and New Years Day?

Ours was just wonderful!

NYE was spent with my sweet sis B and the Mr. We went to our very favorite place to eat in town and then hung out at home for the rest of the evening with a big fire and good company!

New Years Day was supposed to be spent with our dear friends M and J and their sweet baby girl Kenzie! We have had a tradition to eat and hang out together on New Years Day...so we couldn't let this year be any different! But I came down with a cold this weekend and we didn't want to share our germs with the sweet new baby.So we still took the meal to their house but didn't stay for long and didn't get close to their sweet baby girl! The Mr. made a really YUMMY Boston Butt and we had the rest of the traditional meal...collard greens and black eyed peas and corn bread! YUMMY!! Loved that we kept our tradition just in an altered way....next year will be fun with our two babies playing! :)

Now, it's back to work and normal routines....not so sure how I feel about that all. Today is a teacher work day and the students return tomorrow. Grad school starts back next week. Things will get busy again...but a new busy will be when TJH gets here. I'm actually really looking forward to that busy.

Christmas Number 2

Christmas morning was spent with the Mr's family. We woke up pretty early to open presents before church. We had fun opening gifts and spending time together. We enjoyed some thin Swedish pancakes before heading out the door for church.

Whew...what a wonderful Christmas we had! Cannot wait to celebrate next year with Tucker!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year...the excitment that lies ahead is just awesome! I love dressing up and taking pictures, eating yummy food and opening a few gifts! Spending time with family is the best part though! This year, we headed up to my aunts house and spent the evening with my family. It was great to see everyone!
