Car and Chick-fil-A

Thursday evening was busy!

The transmission went out on our Expedition last Friday...I made it to work that morning but couldn't make it home. The Mr. had to get the kiddos and then come to my school and drive it home...it broke down a few times on the way but he got it home.  So, we have just had one car this week. It hasn't been too bad. But we got our car Thursday after school! 

Since we were out getting the car there was no way we would make it home and able to cook dinner before the kids melted down. So, it was a Chick-fil-A night!

We played first because the Mr. was still doing stuff with the car. 

EK was very serious about her BBQ sauce...she is just like her Daddy! :)

Summer Friends Fun

Since we've been "down south" we've been able to see lots of our great friends who live around here! And since it's summer we have more time to see friends so we are really enjoying seeing such special people! 

Tuesday night we headed to ATL to eat and visit with this awesome couple! We love V and N and hate that we don't get to see them more often. We ate at this super yummy seafood place called 6 Feet Under and it had a great view of the Atlanta sky line. 

Wednesday afternoon we headed over the D's house! They just moved and we were excited to see their new house...it's BEAUTIFUL! 

All 5 kids loved playing together and of course eating yummy strawberries and pound cake for dessert!

We all had so much catching up and sharing funny stories! We love this couple!

Thursday me and T headed to the pool to hang out with part of the FOUR! We met H and L at L's parents beautiful pool! 

The kids had a blast and T kept his head under water most of the afternoon...he was so proud of himself! 

We really missed L and C...it wasn't the same without all FOUR together but still so fun! 

I'm so thankful for these girls! 

It's been so nice to catch up with special friends! We are so thankful for all the true friendships we have with these people. We are also glad to raise our kids around these people...it's great to have people we love and respect around our children!

Dinner with the B Family!

Saturday evening we took the B's dinner! We couldn't wait to see them! They just welcomed baby number 3...little L! 

The kiddos LOVED playing together and K and I loved chatting while the husbands chatted too! 

Little L was SO good the whole time we were there!

It was fun being outnumbered by our kiddos! What a sweet family, we are so blessed to be friends!

J and T and the Mr. planned a super fun afternoon/evening for all of us! 

J whisked me away to go get blow-outs done! There is a new place in our town that is called Tease and they specialize in washing/drying and then styling your hair! :)  Well, J and I were so excited about this opening because both have very thick/curly/frizzy hair. We had so much fun! And we even had a 10 min head massage! So relaxing! 

So the Mr. and T kept the boys and played at home while we were gone! And also picked up hibachi for dinner! YUM! So as soon we got home we had dinner waiting  on us!

It was such a fun afternoon/evening with our best friends! 

Last little fling before the twins arrive! Of course we will still see and hang out with them all the time, but it was super fun to do something special! :) 

Mommyhood isn't always Glamorous!

Yesterday evening, I met two wonderful women for dinner with their babies! I have been taking advantage of being back home to see all of our family and friends that live around here. I met H and H for dinner at a yummy Mexican place. Tuck had a late nap so I knew we would be good to go to go out for dinner and the kid loves Mexican food...well he had other plans/feelings about going to dinner. He's always pretty good when we go out to dinner and eats and then plays. Well, he did want to eat...he didn't want to stay in his seat...he screamed a lot. It was so strange...then I began to think maybe he didn't feel well because he never acts like this. He felt a little warm. Then right before we were all about to leave I look down at my white pants and there is poop all over them...my sweet boy had pooped so much that it went through his clothes onto mine. So I say all of this to say...mommyhood isn't always glamorous! ha! :) I wouldn't trade my job for anything, but sometimes it's so funny! 

I did love being with my friends and their babies...I kept apologizing because Tucker never acts that way. They kept saying, it's okay. I wish I could have visited with them more, but we all know it's like that when you go to dinner with kiddos. :)

H and H texted me that on their way home they had a crazy car ride..deflated balloons and musical crying...ha! :)

 It's so wonderful to be in the same stage of life as my friends...it's great to hear how they do things with their babies. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful mommy-friends! :)

Dinner and A Dog Birthday

Like I shared here, our best friends had their beautiful son last week! We got to take and share dinner with them on Wednesday night! It was such a fun evening! We loved being in their home with our two boys together!

TJH loved seeing TDW! He wanted to touch him, but I wouldn't let him. 

He did love swinging him. :)

It was really sweet to see the two boys together, just the beginning of the many times these boys will play together. 

We are so very excited for J and T! They are so happy and content and it was so great to spend the evening with them. 

Thursday was Miss Lucy's birthday! She turned 7! Sweet doggie! She is going to get her ice cream cone this weekend!
