Anniversary Date Night

The Mr. and I celebrated 7 years of marriage on Sunday! Our dear friends and now old neighbors text us earlier last week and told us to let them know when they were needed so we could go out and celebrate...isn't that the sweetest!?!?! They remembered our anniversary and wanted to watch our babies for us! :) So, we went out Saturday night!

J and M came over a little early so we could catch up! We were all so excited to see them! Even our pups! 

The Mr. and I headed out and they all stayed back and played! But of course I got M to take a picture before we left!

We went to dinner at our very favorite sushi place...Shokitini! We got to eat dinner at a slow pace and talk the entire time! SO nice!

Then we headed to see Trainwreck...such a funny movie!! It was the perfect night together!

And back home these kiddos had a blast with M and J!

What fun night for all! :) 

So thankful for such good friends and of course my good looking husband! :)

2015!

Every NYE the Mr. and I eat sushi! Last year we picked it up and ate it at home after we had put the kids to bed. This year, we decided to do lunch while the kiddos were at daycare. It was a great decision...it was so fun! 

Our normal(and FAVORITE) place was closed for lunch so we went to our second favorite...it was so yummy! 

The rest of our NYE was filled with playing with our babies before they went to bed. 

And then we did have some Lamarca and we watched some TV. I was in bed at 11...didn't make it until midnight! ha! 

New Years Day was so fun! We stayed home all day and played! The kiddos loved being able to play with new toys and be at home! 

We cooked the traditional NYD dinner...the kiddos weren't a fan but we enjoyed it! 

Every year I make a mini collage of our year...here is 2014! What a year! It was SO much fun! I'm sure 2015 will be even better!

I don't make resolutions usually...I do have some goals that I'm working towards. We did some major organizing and cleaning up this week so that made me happy and ready to start this great year!

The Mr. planned such a fun "Day Date" for the two of us! I've wanted to see the Rockettes since I was a little girl! And he got us tickets to see them in Atlanta! I was SO excited!!! And then he planned a whole day for us! 

My sweet MIL watched all three kiddos for us so we could spend the day together. She recruited some help from her neighbors and friends. :) And when we got home she was still in one piece and her hair was still curled! :) (THANK YOU G!!!!)

We left in the afternoon and headed to one of my favorite places to eat...Cheesecake Factory! YUM! We were able to talk and eat our food at a normal pace...so nice!!

Then we headed to see the Rockettes! The show was amazing!!! I seriously was like a little kid! I kept nudging the Mr. every time they would do the high kicks! But what's so great about the show is that they really tell the TRUE meaning/story of Christmas! Of course there is Santa, reindeer and snow but they have a whole naivety and tell the story of Jesus birth! 

Then afterwards we were able to stroll around Babis R Us for a little bit before heading to our dear friends housewarming party! We had a great time at N and V's party. :) 

What a wonderful (much needed) day with my better half! 

First Date!

The Mr. and I had a real treat last night! We went on our first date without Tucker!

We sure did miss him but we enjoyed ourselves!

Our sweet friend K and P have precious L and we've had the opportunity to watch him and he's so fun! This week we watched L and K suggested we do some babysitting swapping! Well, the Mr. and I took them up on it! 

It was so nice to take Tucker to their house and not have ONE worry or fear. We knew that he would be taken care of and LOVED on a lot! And he would have a blast because he loves L!

The Grinch

My favorite Christmas story/movie is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. Always has been since I was a little girl!

The Mr. set up for us to pain the Grinch at one of our local painting places. It was such a fun night! I think our Grinchs turned out pretty good! :)

Crazy, Stupid, Love

The Mr. and I had a fun and unplanned date night last night!

We decided at 6:15 to go see a movie! And it started at 7:05! We made it on time though and were able  to see the previews! (One of my favorite parts!)

We liked it a lot! It was funny, meaningful and eye-opening. Great movie with drama but with lots of love!

Seeing Steve Carell in a more "serious" role was great too! Ryan Gosling isn't bad to look at! ha! And Emma Stone is a favorite of mine especially after seeing "The Help".

I recommended going to see it if you haven't!

Getting Into Summer

If you know anything about me, I'm usually busy.

I've been this way my entire life.

Even when I was little I was involved in so much; dance, cheerleaing, church, social stuff and more.

This continued into high school and college. Working, sorority, gym time, clubs, and much  more.

And when I got married and got a big girl job nothing really changed with my business.

I've had a full time job, part-time job, church activities, cake baking, working out/training and much more for the past two years.

I wouldn't change any of this!

I'm very blessed to have a busy/great life!

I woke up my first day off of school about a week ago and had no idea what to do. I looked at the Mr. and said, "I don't have any plans...I don't have to be somewhere." I felt out of place. I felt weird. Then I thought about what the Mr. said to me, "LA, you've wanted a break for a while, just enjoy it!"

He's right. I have wanted a break. But I guess when I wanted a break I didn't think about what that would be like.  I'm starting to be okay with this break.

I've found many things to do. Lunch dates, tubing fun, rest, organizing, taking pictures, party planning, and so much more.

I need to slow down sometimes, that's what this break has taught me.

It's okay to have alot of activities in my life, but it's okay to just be still and rest.

Just wanted to share my little life lesson with you guys today. :) 

The Mr. and I had a great day today!

(It's really neat being home together, we haven't gotten sick of each other! :))

We usually go to our local Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings, well we remembered that it is open on Tuesday afternoons too! So we headed to check out what veggies were available! We were off on a little date!

Then we headed to a local diner/bakery for an early dinner! And came home with these sweets for later! :)

We love that there are so many unique places in our town.

Locally owned and grown is always the best!

When we got home our pups wanted to play!

They love to play fetch in the back yard! Ethel just runs along...Lucy doesn't let her the toy much!

Overall I'm enjoyin' summer and this break I've been blessed with. I know come fall, I'll be begging asking for another break.
