The Mr. Graduates!

The Mr. graduated on Thursday with his masters in education from UGA! Whoop!

Tucker has been sick on and off for the past week. Wednesday night it got really bad. Thankfully we were able to get an early appointment on Thursday morning before all the fun started. I took him to the doc and found out he had a double ear infection and pink eye. We decided that I would stay home with the babies while the Mr. and his parents went to his graduation. We didn't want our babysitter to get pink eye. :( But it worked out perfect...I stayed home with the kiddos and then later in the evening I was able to enjoy a nice dinner without kiddos. M came over after I had gotten the girls to bed and played with Tuck and put him to bed for us.

This guy...

This guy worked SO hard for the past 2 years to complete his courses, student teaching and certification test.

This guy was a Daddy while doing all of his grad school work.

This guy was a wonderful husband while completing one of his goals. 

This guy is going to make an amazing teacher and really leave an impression on so many kids lives.

This guy realized that he wanted to do something different with his career and did something about it.

This guy amazes me daily with his hard work and dedication towards everything he does. 

This guy graduates today from the University of Georgia with his Masters in Education! 

New Year...New Schedule!

Yesterday started the new semester for me and the Mr.!

All of my students came back from the break and were ready to learn! I'm hoping for a great semester with all of them. They were kind of sad to see that our Elf on the Shelf had gone back to the North Pole! :) 

The Mr. started his third semester of grad school! WHOOP! He will have class three nights a week again. So, Tuck and I have plans to walk every afternoon and play a lot while Daddy is at school. :) We sent him this note yesterday.

I love using the app called Red Stamp to send cards to my family and friends. I also use the app to make the backgrounds for my phone. :)

We have been working on a few baby signs with Tucker and last night he used one of his other skills to communicate 'more'. ha! It was exactly the correct sign for 'more' but I'll take it. :)

We are off to a great semester and I'm looking forward to my evenings free of grad school and more on blogging, using my Cricut and reading the Bible! :)

UGA Alum

Well I did it!

I graduated Friday with my masters from The University of Georgia!

WHOOP! :)

I got my masters in Educational Psychology- Gifted and Creative Education and I loved all the courses I took. I learned so much from it.

I am so glad to be done because it did take a lot of my time. I'm glad to have that time to give to Tucker instead of reading or writing for classes.

I'm thankful that I had such a supportive husband. The Mr. really supported me so much in the past two years. He was my personal cheerleader and pushed me when I would get tired. :)

I'm also thankful for my family, friends and co workers for all of their support! I went through the program with three of my co workers and it was wonderful to have that support.

Getting my acceptance letter in December 2010! I would start January 2011!

The three ladies that I took every class with and work with at school...so glad I had them with me through the whole journey!

Officially a Georgia Bulldog!

The Mr. learned some new stuff in one of his classes this week with some technology. I wanted to share what he made me. He used my blog and it pulled the most used words. I loved what it found :)

It's so fun to hear him come home excited about what he has learned. Some of the stuff I've heard of or know, but some I don't and I love learning new things from him! He's truly enjoying his program. I know he's going to make an excellent teacher when he's done!

Phone on Silent...

Whew what a day!

I headed to work like normal this morning. I leave my house about 5:45 to arrive a few minutes before 6am. I know that's early but I get lots of work done and then I can leave on time in the afternoons. 

Well I only got about half way to work and my car died. I mean like turned off....no breaks...no power steering and I was going 55MPH. Thank goodness I was able to coast off an exit. 

I picked up my phone to call the Mr....well he had his phone on SILENT! ugh. I called and called and called. With no luck. Thankfully I was able to get picked up 45 minutes later. And another friend of mine went and woke the Mr. up by knocking on the door. I got to school in time...and I didn't let it ruin my day at all! ha!

TJH had his 6 month doctors appointment today. First one I wasn't able to attend. :( But the Mr. did a great job and even took a cute video! :) 

He lost some weight with being so sick and the doc telling us to hold off on solids while his blisters healed in his throat. So that kind of worried me but our doc said it was TOTALLY fine! He's in the 90th percentile for weight and 50th for height! He had two shots. :( But was so brave!  

Paper is so fun! :)

I got a ride home this afternoon and the Mr. headed to his first class of his second semester of grad school! 

Tucker and I had a fun afternoon together! We went on a walk with Ethel and then played! 

He also enjoyed a lot of sweet potatoes! :)

I love this boy so much! He makes life so much better! 

I didn't even get upset once or cry about my morning. It's funny how things change when you have a baby and it's not worth stressing over. I was safe and fine and at the end of the day it's just a car...

But lesson learned...turn your phone off silent! :)

What are the chances?

So, yall know I had jury duty yesterday. Well, I got deferred...not excused... deferred. The judge said he's never had a juror that need to pump? What? Anyways...he was like you can come back in 3 or 6 months. I kindly told him that I would still be needing to pump at that time. But o well. See ya in September!

I used the rest of my day to grocery shop and spend time with Tucker. Well, on my way home from grocery shopping the Mr. called and said that Tucker was awake and very hungry. So I sped home...well that wasn't the best idea. I've never in my life gotten a ticket...in my 11 years of driving! Well, yesterday was a first! 52 in a 35! Not good at all. But what made me the most upset was the fact that the cop wasn't even in his car! Three cops were parked in a yard of an abandon house. He simply just walked out into the road and pulled me over. I was so mad!

Good news...tonight is the last time I have to go to campus for grad school! I only have 3 classes left until I graduate in December...and two are online and one is a practicum. So I won't have to leave my sweet boy to go to campus for class. This makes me so happy! And tonight marks the end of this semesters for me! 2 more semesters and I'm done with my masters! WHOOP! :)

Good morning faithful readers!

I wanted to make you aware that HammarLove will be down for a while. As you know, I'm in grad school and I have been assigned my COMPS...which is my written exam to wrap up my program. I have three weeks to write my comps. This 25-30 page paper is one of the last requirements for my program. So along with writing, I'll spending the last bit of time I have with TJH before going back to work. I have decided that my blog will have to go on the back burner. But don't you worry, I'll still be posting Tucker's weekly post and after April 16th I'll be back! :) Please pray for me in this next couple of weeks while I find time to write, still do the course work for my 3 other classes, spend time with TJH and the Mr. and enjoy what's left of my maternity leave before returning to work.

Are you snoring?

I've been pretty boring this week...sorry sweet readers!

We've had a great week so far!

Yesterday was my shower at school and it was so cute! I can't wait to upload the pictures so you can see! I have such great work friends!

We started a little calender bet for TJH's arrival...we already have 20 bets in place! It's $1 to enter, our friends and family are so excited! I'm waiting until Saturday to put up the official calender and then we will just wait and see when he makes his big entrance!

Grad school is in full swing, my classes are good this semester though! I have one on campus, one online and then I'm working on my practicum(which is taking place at my school) with three of my co-workers and classmates. The class I'm taking on campus is a creativity course and we have so really cool things we have/get to do this semester! I'll be sure to share some of my products! Just this week in class we were given a huge stack of newspaper, masking tape and a list of things to create. I'm learning some great things to use in my own classroom with my students-which is the best part!

I'm SO excited about this weekend! My three best friends are throwing me a shower! I get to see tons of my girlfriends and catch up! WHOOP! :)

It's almost Friday and as of yesterday it was exactly three weeks until TJH's due date!!! SO exciting!

AND today is the 100th day of school!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are doing some fun stuff!

Tonight I'll be done with one full year of grad school!

 WHOOHOO!

I've taken 24 hours in a year along with working.

I've really enjoyed learning more about gifted and creative education! Hopefully only one more year and I'll be done! But I'm looking forward to the next month of no studying or projects!

Guess, I'll say GO DAWGS! ha!

Ending a week...

The week is coming to an end...WHEW!

This weekend is much needed and hopefully will be a very fun and relaxing one!

This week was filled with meetings, observations, mid terms, projects, baby kicks, yummy sundae, prenatal yoga and lots of

 children laughing.

Grad School

So today I start my third semester of grad school!

I'm taking two classes this fall! Tuesdays and Thursday evenings.

I've had my professor and he is my advisor for my Tuesday night class. I haven't had my Thursday night professor...but hopefully I'll enjoy his class.

I'm thankful to not have After School on top of classes. It's been so wonderful to leave when we are allowed to go each day. And now I'll only have two late days a week.

So, here's to a great semester!

What's up?

Getting close to the weekend! YAY!

Done with my one grad class! WHOOHOO!

Excited to see some friends this weekend!

And actually go to our church here...we've been out of town for the past 5 weekends.

I got some school stuff in the dollar spot at Target yesterday! They always have cute stuff that is useful! As much as I love summer, I'm kind of excited about going back to work! I know...I know...but I really do love what I do. :) And I'm very excited about the new grade!! 2nd!!! I also got my new lesson planner! BIG DORK!

But I'm still looking forward to a great rest of our summer!

The Mr. has been BUSY today! :)

He has:

Made my morning smoothie. :)

Cleaned all the windows-inside and out!

Replaced light fixtures for three lights in our house.

Vacuumed the whole house.

Fixed some chairs that were squeaky!

Put new whiper blades on our car.

Installed a dimmer switch.

Put out new pine straw.

Cleaned one our bathtubs...scrubbed it CLEAN!

Needless to say he has been busy! He is so good at doing things around the house. I'm so thankful for him and his talents!

I on the other hand have:

Showered

 Gone to class

Read 4 chapters for school

Posted for my online class

Cleaned the two beta fish bowls

Overall it's been a successful day!

Saturday Randoms!

• Getting homemade smoothies brought to me in bed is just simply amazing! Love my sweet husband!
• Weddings make me cry now...knowing how wonderful marriage is just makes them so much more emotional!
• Getting ahead on homework feels great!
• I love it when Lucy or Ethel stay with me in a room even when the Mr. walks out...this doesn't happen much...they are obsessed with him!
• I love having friends over to our house for dinner! The Mr. always cooks so good and I love having company over!
• Having a day when you don't leave the house is healthy!
• Getting garage sales finds from my sweet MIL are just great! Good classroom stuff!
• Those were just a few of my Saturday randoms! How has your weekend been?

Sweet Pups!

Aren't they just precious??

I just love my pups! They bring so much joy to our home!

We've had a great week! My two youngest sisters came and stayed a few days with us! It was fun having them around! The Mr. loved hanging out with them while I had class. I'm thankful for summer so we have more time to spend with them!

Class was cancelled on Friday, so today is the last day for the week! :) Lots of reading and assignments for the weekend, but it's all fun!

GROSS and Summer School!

Gross what??

 Well...my ears have been hurting for the past week. Starting out itchy and then began to become painful. The Mr. found an ENT doctor that could take me yesterday without an appt. So I hurried over there and come to find out...

I have a fungi in my ears.

GROSSS!

And kind of embarrassing! EWE.

The doc said it was just from water, soap, and shampoo getting inside of my ears.

He loaded me up with drops and I have to wear cotton balls in my ears when I shower...no fun but if it makes the pain go away, I'm okay with it!

As, yall know, I'm working on my masters. I love grad school actually. I started back in January and made all A's my first semester! Well, I'm taking 9 hours of summer school! WHEW!

But I have the time now, and my job allows summers open, so I might as well take advantage of the time.

I'm taking on June class(starts June 10 and goes through the beginning of July) and two online classes that are June-very beginning of August. I don't think it will be too bad. I'm not huge on taking online classes, but it was really the only way to fit more hours in. So technically I only have one week until summer school starts! But I'm looking forward to it!
