Wow...it's the LAST day of January! That just means...that my FAVORITE holiday is right around the corner! Valentines Day!

The Mr. and I had a wonderful weekend! Friday night was one of our lazy Friday nights...which I LOVE! Pizza and catching with shows!

Saturday the Mr. and I went to one of my students basketball games...they WON!

Then we headed to ATL for the Engagment Cocktail that we were co-hosting for one of the Mr.'s best friends Rachael! It was a lot of fun and went great!!

Today, has just been HEAVEN. Starting the day out snuggling with the Mr., then off to Krispy Kreme! Then my family came up to see our NEW home!! It was so great to see them and for them to see our new PRIDE and JOY! Then I headed to ZUMBA! And to top things off, I had dinner waiting on me when I got home!

Great start to a new week!

The Hammarlund House!

So, with many many prayers and waiting we found out we are buying this.....

HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We couldn't be more excited!! We've been house shopping for about a month(which I know isn't long) and finally found the PERFECT one!

We found the house on Sunday with our relator. We put an offer on it on Monday and found out Tuesday at lunch that they accepted our offer!! I didn't sleep Sunday or Monday night at all!

The Mr. and I are SO blessed and cannot wait to share our house with many family and friends!

Thank you for all those who prayed for us! Please keep praying that the process runs smooth!

The Hammarlunds had a GREAT weekend!!

Friday after school, we headed to the good ol' PTC! We celebrated the Mr's Dad's Birthday! We had a yummy dinner and brownies! We gave him a nice framed picture of his sweet dog Coral!

I headed to bed early, I was exhausted from a very stressful week.

Then Saturday afternoon we headed to my Mom's for her famous chicken salad and banana muffins! SO great to see them for a little bit!!

Then we headed to the east side of the state to surprise Mrs. C for her birthday! She had no idea we were coming! Her husband was so sweet for pulling it all off!

Sunday the Mr. and I got up early to meet our realtor...yes, I haven't shared this with you guys yet...but we are searching for the PERFECT house! We looked for about 4 and half hours with him and finally found, hopefully, THE house! We will hopefully put an offer on it today, we are praying for God's guidance on this process! Please pray for us. :)

This week is starting out great, well kind of, I didn't sleep a wink last night. But I'm heading to work and then hitting the gym with my sweet friend M!

I'm a BIG kid now!

So today, I did a BIG kid thing today!!!

I set up my retirement! I already have a "state" retirement though work, but I added an EXTRA one!

It was a lot of information to digest...but now I feel as though I'm set for my retirement money! If you are a school teacher I highly recommend adding more reitrement, because when it comes down to it, the state doesn't give you much at all!

So I've truly enjoyed this long weekend! We've had so much fun!

Friday night started out with frozen pizza, pjs and catching up on our shows!

Saturday, Mrs. G came and hung out with me! She lives about an hour away, but we never seem to see each other! But we are BEST friends and whenever we see each other it's like we've seen each other everyday like we did in college! We went to lunch, used my Cricut, and caught up!! So fun!

Saturday night we went to Sushi with our amazing small group! So yummy! And then we headed to the movies to finally see The Blind Side! SERIOUSLY the BEST movie ever!!! I know, I'm a little late with this, but still it's by far the best movie! And I'm pretty much obessed with the fact that it's a TRUE story!! Here

Sunday started out with church and lunch!

Then we got ready to head out for a fun wedding! Gosh, my husband is GOOD LOOKIN'!Miss L! Isn't she so pretty!?!? The FOUR plus one!! I have the MOST gergerous best friends!

Today was filled with cleaning, laundary, ironing, lesson planning, dog parking and cooking and FUN! Just loved that my weekend was an extra day long!

So, this week will go by quick because it's only a 4 day work week! LOVE IT!

Oldies but always goodies!

My youngest sister LK uploaded some old pictures of when were little. They just made me smile so much!

I mean how freaking CUTE where you when you were little?!?!?

You have to see how cute my sisters were! (I mean they are still so cute...but now they are BEAUTIFUL!)

So, my wonderful Mommie would always make us our Halloween costumes! And of course one year, all three of my sisters wanted to be Snow White! LOVE IT!

So, when B was born I was 5 and not happy at all that I wasn't the only child anymore. I wasn't happy with the name my parents had chosen for her...I called her Heather for the first 6 months of her life! To say the least...I wasn't a happy camper....but look at this picture! I guess she won my heart! Now, we are best friends and I can't imagine my life without her!

My sisters are always the best at celebrating my birthday with me! I love this picture, because it really captures us when we were younger! LK attached to me, K just too sweet with a big smile and B with her favorite hat of the season!

( B would wear the Santa hat from Thanksgiving until Jan 1st 24/7 to the point where my mom had to take it off her in her sleep to wash it!)

2 down....2 to go!

What am I talking about? 2 of the FOUR are married and we have 2 more to go...well the 3rd is only about 45 days away!!!

H had a shower yesterday!! It was so fun to celebrate with her! Also, it was fun to see H and L. The other L had another shower to attend, so we didn't get to see her.

I'm getting so excited for her! H and S have been together for almost 7 years!!! They will tie the knot in late Feburary...no worries I'll have tons of pictures to share!

Brrr.....baby it's cold outside!!

Yes, I had to go to work yesterday...now every other county in Georgia was closed. But not us! I woke up at my "normal" (4:30am) time and checked the internet and school email. No news. Then I decided okay...if everyone else is having a "Snow Day" I am not going in at 6 like I do every other day. So I slept for another hour. Got up and check my email and low and behold...there was an email...that we WOULD have school. I'm going to be honest and tell you that I was sooooooooooo mad.

But I will say...my kids were wonderful all day and worked so hard even though we were all wanting a SNOW DAY sooo bad. They were good sports! :)

Last night we headed out to our VERY favorite Mexican restraunt and enjoyed yummy queso and margs! I love ending my work weeks with the Mr., good friends and YUMMY food.

This weekend is filled with lots of work! Because...starting Monday I'll be doing a tutoring program at my school 3-4 days a week after school. It's from 3-5pm everyday. I'm really excited because it's for the children that didn't pass or do well on the CRCT last year. And I get to work with 8 of my own students. I really hope this program helps with to where they can take the CRCT and pass that dang test!

I'm alive...

Your probably asking...why am I alive?



Well I made it through my first day back after the break! And...MAJOR changes for the 5th grade!! See....in the Fall I taught ELA(English/Language Arts) and Social Studies and my students went across the hall for Math and Science...so we were departmentalized. We all thought it would be perfect this past summer while planning but when it came down to it...it wasn't great. I mean it wasn't HORRIBLE but it wasn't how it's supposed to be.

So we went to our administration and had a "big" meeting...it actually wasn't as "big" as we thought it was going to be, they were totally okay with us wanting to make a change. So starting today, I had my students all day for all subjects. And....it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to be honest....I was a little nervous...okay maybe a lot about teaching Math...but I'm being SOO positive about it!! I think it will be just fine! :)

P.S. So those New Years Resoultions...I've worked out 4 times since I last posted. And I'm planning and trying harder to blog more...because I really do LOVE it.
