Last night we went to my Aunts house to celebrate my cousins 30th birthday! It was a surprise and so fun! He had no idea and was so excited to see tons of his family and friends! The picture on the cake is of his two dogs which are his LIFE!

I got to see my sweet nephew! Aidan Harper...can't believe he will be 1 next month! :(

Great evening with family and friends! And this is what we came home to:

Eric's Uncle David sent us 11 flats of plants!!!!!!! We are so excited!! Uncle David is the owner of Gro'nSell and Eric had asked him to send him just some scraps of seeds or plugs that he had that he didn't need or sell. And this is what we got! 11 boxes of BEAUTIFUL plugs to put in our not so beautiful yard! Eric was like a 5 year old on Christmas morning we got home last night!!!
Here are all the boxes after...we were too excited to take a picture before! Eric plans on putting them in the ground ASAP and sharing with our neighbor and then some to the Hammarlunds in PTC!

First of all before I go into all my other exciting news and updates....KRIS ALLEN won AMERICAN IDOL last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was my pick from the beginning! I think he is SOOO talented!! I did like Adam and think he will make an incredible performer but Kris was the WHOLE package!!

What a weekend?!?!

Eric and I had a full weekend of friends and good times!

Friday night we headed to Sugarloaf to see the youngest of the children I nanny for graduate from pre-school! It was too cute! NC was very excited that we came! We enjoyed "cook in front of you" for dinner with the whole family! That would be Japanese! haha!

Here are the cupcakes I made for NC's graduation and C's 8th Birthday(which was earlier in the week)! They loved them!

After the graduation and dinner we headed over to Ben's house and went bowling with Lexie and Ben! It was a fun night!! Eric won 2 of the three games! And I got made fun off the whole night on how I bowl! But it works! :)
Sunday I made the drive to C-town for Courtney's(best friend/sorority sister) bridal shower! I'm so happy to be in her wedding this June!

Yesterday our sweet neighbor Kate came over and taught me how to make granola!!! I was so excited!! It's YUMMY too! :)

Eric and I planted tomato plants yesterday too! We are so excited for them to start growing! I can eat tomatos like apples...I LOVE them! I'll keep you posted on how they turn out!

We are getting SO excited about our upcoming trip to the Keys this Friday! YAY!

We've done some exciting things in the past couple of days! But I won't tell until I have the pictures to prove it! :)

Car problems=my life!

As many of you know I've never had the MOST reliable cars! But since I married into the Hammarlund family they have done their VERY best to keep me in a car that is SAFE and RELIABLE!

So Wednesday was a very productive day for me! I made my way down to the Athens-Clarke County Court House to visit the Social Security Office...let me just way I felt so GROSS after leaving that office. I went to have my name changed on my social security card...I know I know, 9 and half months late but it's done! I said many prayers for people sitting in that office over hearing what their lives were like.

Anywho...I make it back out to my car so excited because my car was still there with no ticket and still time on my parking meter! I get into my wonderful car and try to start it. It won't start. I don't freak out at first...I try again, and again, and again. Then I call the Mr. He's across town and can't get to me for a while. So next person I call is my wonderful mother-in-law(I need to come up with a better name than that, I hate that 'in-law' part) and she tells me she will call the family mechanic and get back with me. In the meantime Fritz, (his first name is Ryan but we all call him Fritz) calls and says," I hear your car won't start, where are you, I'm coming!" I become so relieved!

Okay so with the help of Jeff(family mechanic) and Fritz(who redoes old cars and knows his car stuff) we can't get my car to start. We've checked the battery, fluids, gas line, oil and much more. Just as we are about to call a tow truck to come this older very nice gentleman comes up to us(now remember we are outside the court house) and says in a VERY southern accent, "Now, son I'm not going to tell you what to do but I bet if you push that car into the street it will start! I'll be happy to help ya sir."

Now to back up just a minute....my car does do this thing if your parked on a hill and low on gas it won't start. But I was NOT parked on a hill and my gas light was NOT on.

So with the help of Fritz and the gentleman we pushed the car into the street and of course it started right UP!

HOW EMBARRASSING!!!

I called my mother-in-law(still thinking of another name for that) and she died laughing! Now, the Mr. didn't think it was as funny as we did. O well. I felt SO stupid...but there really was no hill and my gas was above that big E.

My hair is no longer blond, so I don't really have any other excesses...I guess just to make people laugh! :)

2 years!

Happy 2 years to love of my life!

No, we haven't been married 2 years but it's been 2 years since we got back together again! :) You see, Eric and I dated several other times before getting together this last time! In high school and college...many fun memories together. But the last 2 years have been the absolute best! Good thing I didn't hold anything against him for breaking up with me all the times before! ;)
He is my BEST friend in the whole world and I can't imagine life without him!

So I've been good! Your probably wondering what I'm talking about.


I'm getting fit! Healthy and fit!


I've gotten back in the habit of running...I was pretty good about it in college but you know when you get married and your happy and you don't have time to do those healthy things. Or maybe you do but they aren't top on the to-do list! I would much rather cook a yummy meal for my husband, eat dinner together and watch our nightly shows!


Anyways...I've started a few different things! First of all I've been running...for a little while now and it feels great! But also Eric and I started accounts at www.livestrong.com! You log in everything you eat so you can see how many calories, fat, protein, etc that you intake! It's pretty interesting to see all that you eat. But also what is so neat about Livestrong is that you log in your exercise and it tells you the calories you burn!


Now, don't get worried. I'm not doing anything crazy...I'm really just trying to get healthy....lose those few pounds I've gained since my lovely wedding day and get my endurance back from my running days!


I'll keep you posted on how I do! (We do!)

BUSY weekend but such a wonderful weekend! Eric and I headed home Friday afternoon with Lacey Kate! Traffic was horrible getting home but we made it in time to celebrate Leslie's birthday/graduation party! We made her dress in a cap and gown and take pics! It was so fun to celebrate with her! I made cupcakes...but 3 hours in the car didn't do them well. O well.


Saturday was a fun day as well! Got up early to get things done in PTC and then headed to Henry County to see sweet baby Audree! We had lunch with Alex and Elyse! It was so great catching up with them and spending time with them as a family! Audree has gotten even more beautiful in the past week! I just love her so much!

Saturday night we celebrated Mothers Day with my sweet Mommie! We had dinner and exchanged presents with Leslie and her mom and my grandmother. We really surprised my mom this year with pictures we had done by Seth(one of Britta's best friends)...she had no clue about them!! Here are a few of the wonderful pictures that Seth took of all of us! It's a tough job to get 7 people to look good in a picture!

We are so blessed! We both have such wonderful families and combined it just AMAZING! Who could ask for anything better?!?!? We got back late last night and were so tired from such a wonderful weekend of celebrations! We look forward to the next weekend we are all together!

I am the luckiest girl in the world!

First of all my Mommie is the the most amazing person I know! She carried me for 9 long months and raised me right! She always made sure I was dressed perfect with my huge bows! She always made sure I had tons of time with my friends. She always made sure our family was together. She always makes sure to listen to me about everything! She is such a beautiful person inside and out! She has always told me, "Pretty Is As Pretty Does!" and it's so true...but she lives by that herself!

Second of all I have a wonderful Mother-in-Law! I remember meeting her 8 years ago and she is still the same woman but now I can claim her as my family! Mrs. Hammarlund is a DOER...meaning she is always doing stuff for anyone and everyone! Who gets lucky enough to be very close to their mother-in-law?!? Well she is wonderful! Her strong Christianity encourages me to strive everyday to become even closer to the Lord!

Did I say I was lucky?!?! Well I am! I have two amazing Moms!!! Who gets that?!?! I am SO thankful to have two wonderful Moms that love and support me and my sweet husband!

Lacey(my sister) has been here all week with us! It's been fun having someone hang out with us and eat dinner with us. Can't wait to have Britta and Kendall come stay too!

P.S. Today is the first day of 'Lindsay Ann is getting fit' again! It's serious. Like a heart attack! (Not really a heat attack but now you know how serious I am about this!)

It's such a beautiful day! Eric and I have had a good weekend! Friday night I came back from meeting sweet Audree! We tried a new restaurant in town...not the best but glad we tried it! Everything is fried there...even Snickers bars!

Saturday we got up and took Lucy swimming for her birthday! She swam for about an hour and didn't want to go home! Then Eric and I headed to Atlanta for dinner! Our dear dear friend Nader sent us our wedding gift which was a gift certificate to Buckhead Restaurant Group...so we had about 12 restaurants to choose from! We went to the Atlanta Fish Market! It was great! Eric had never been so he was very excited and LOVED his lobster!

Today we've been hanging around at home together! Cooking dinner is on the agenda and wishing the weekend was longer!

Okay so I've been so excited since the day I found out that Elyse and Alex were having a baby!!! Like SOOO pumped! Well the day that Elyse went into the hospital because Audree didn't come on her due date...she was actually 4 days late....I was so excited at home that I decided that I wanted to bake! Everyone knows I'm obsessed with cupcakes...but I made these from scratch...like the cake and icing!!! My first time!! :) And I decorated them by hand for the first time!! It was a great way to make the time go by fast and let out my excitement for Audree's arrival!!

It's been a wonderful 2 days! Audree was born yesterday and today is Lucy's 3rd birthday! May 1st is her birthday! Eric brought home an icecream cone for her and I brought her home a new bone!! She was very excited!!

Personally I think babies are the BEST BEST thing ever!! I get so excited about people having babies, playing with babies, and all that goes along with it! I'm so lucky to have Aidan and Audree in my life! Two SWEET babies!!
